Abstract

Un aspecto de la invencion se refiere a una composicion de pigmento negro con matiz azul, que contiene al menos oxido de fierro, oxido de cromo, en donde la relacion de fierro a cromo es de aproximadamente 1:1 hasta aproximadamente 5:l en peso; y oxido de manganeso. Otro aspecto de la invencion se refiere a un metodo para elaborar un pigmento negro con matiz azul que involucra combinar oxido de fierro, oxido de cromo, y oxido de manganeso para formar una mezcla; calentar la mezcla a una temperatura de aproximadamente 700¦C hasta aproximadamente 1,300¦C durante un tiempo de aproximadamente 1 hasta aproximadamente 5 horas; y agitar opcionalmente una mezcla calentada para proporcionar el pigmento negro con matiz azul. Aun otro aspecto de la invencion se refiere a una composicion plastica que contiene un material plastico y una composicion de pigmento negro con matiz azul que contiene al menos oxido de fierro, oxido de cromo y oxido de manganeso.
