Abstract
La invencion se refiere al moldeo de un recipiente de plastico espumoso o expandido (10) con una saliente de reborde (14) que se proyecta radialmente hacia afuera desde la pared lateral (12) del recipiente alrededor del orificio (13) del recipiente. Esta saliente de reborde es similar a la saliente de reborde tipo rodillo de una taza termoformada de material plastico en capas y es capaz de capturar una tapa de fijacion a presion. La herramienta de moldeo para moldear el recipiente (10) comprende partes de moldeo, macho y hembra, (16, 17) que se ensamblan para formar una cavidad de moldeo (18) que define el recipiente (10). Las cavidades de calentamiento/enfriamiento (21, 24) se proporcionan en las partes de moldeo adyacentes a la cavidad de moldeo y la cavidad de calentamiento/enfriamiento (21) en la parte de moldeo macho se conecta a traves de pasos (41, 44, 45) controlados por una valvula a la cavidad de moldeo (18) adyacente a la zona de moldeo de la saliente de reborde de la cavidad de moldeo. Con objeto de moldear el recipiente (10), perlas de un material plastico, incluyendo un agente de espumacion, se distribuyen en la cavidad de moldeo (18), el vapor suministrado a traves del conducto (15) se inyecta en la cavidad de moldeo a traves de los pasos (28) controlados por el miembro de valvula (30) para cocer el material plastico y moldear el recipiente de plastico expandido, y durante el ciclo de coccion, la valvula controla los pasos (41, 44, 45) abiertos para redirigir parte del vapor que llena la cavidad de calentamiento/enfriamiento (21) a la zona de moldeo de reborde para proporcionar un equipo de coccion adicional en esta zona.
