Abstract

En una bomba de sangre de flujo centrifugo, que puede utilizarse en aplicaciones para auxilio ventricular izquierdo, la sangre se bombea desde una entrada (16) hasta una salida (22) mediante un propulsor primario (18). Una parte de la sangre que entra a la bomba sigue por un canal secundario (24) donde un propulsor secundario (70) enruta la sangre para lubricar un cojinete entre un montaje propulsor (14) y un poste formado por un componente del alojamiento de la bomba. La forma Unica del propulsor secundario (70) impide el estancamiento de la sangre y proporciona un cojinete de fluidos con buen lavado.
