Abstract

Esta invencion provee metodos para producir plantas con produccion de semilla y biomasa incrementada; de manera mas especifica, esta invencion provee metodos para producir plantas que tengan rendimientos incrementados para un numero de rasgos de las plantas, incluyendo el numero de semillas, peso de las semillas, el numero de cabezas de semillas, peso de hojas de bandera y peso total de la planta; esta invencion provee metodos para mejorar el indice de cosecha de una planta; en una modalidad preferida, los metodos consisten en introducir en una planta un acido nucleico en donde el acido nucleico se selecciona del grupo que consta de un acido nucleico que comprende SEQ ID NO: 3, un acido nucleico que hibrida con SEQ ID NO: 3 bajo condiciones de astringencia alta y codifica un polipeptido que retiene la actividad biologica de SH2-REV6-HS, un fragmento de SEQ ID NO: 3 que codifica un peptido que retiene la actividad biologica de SH2-REV6- HS, un acido nucleico que codifica un polipeptido que comprende SEQ ID NO:4, o un fragmento del mismo que retiene la actividad biologica de SH2- REV6-HS, y un acido nucleico que codifica un polipeptido SH2HS o un polipeptido SH2RTS; la presente invencion tambien se refiere a plantas obtenidas por los metodos que aqui se proveen.
