Abstract

Se describe una composicion de aerosol de gota liquida para suministrar al tracto respiratorio de un paciente. Se forma el aerosol por colocar una solucion de ?-IFN acuosa la cual tiene componentes estabilizantes y dispersantes contra una placa la cual tiene aberturas de tamano definido e introducir la solucion a traves de aberturas bajo condiciones efectivas para formar gotas acuosas las cuales tienen un diametro promedio en volumen en uno o mas de un numero de tamanos seleccionados en el intervalo de tamano de 1-10 micras. El aerosol tiene las gotas de tamano deseado y una actividad biologica de ?-IFN y distribucion de tamano molecular substancialmente igual a aquellas de la solucion de ?-IFN acuosa. Tambien se describe un metodo para administrar a una region seleccionada del tracto respiratorio del paciente, una cantidad de ?-IFN humano que tiene actividad biologica de gama interferon seleccionada, conocida y distribucion de tamano molecular.
