Abstract

La presente invencion es un metodo novedoso y mejorado para llevar a cabo el control de potencia de lazo cerrado. Se describe un metodo para implementar el lazo exterior del enlace inverso utilizando solamente la senal piloto. Tal metodo es especialmente util cuando las senales de datos se encuentran presentes solamente en rafagas breves de tal manera que las tasas de error de paquete o tasas de error de trama (PER o FER) no pueden estimarse con precision. Ademas, dado que este metodo proporciona un mecanismo para el ajuste preciso del punto de referencia incluso sin un estimado de PER (FER), puede utilizarse tambien para mejorar la precision del rendimiento de lazo exterior cuando se encuentra disponible tal estimado. La presente invencion estima una "tasa de error de bit de piloto" (PBER) (200), en donde cada "bit" de piloto consiste de un cierto numero de chips de piloto distribuidos en una trama. Ademas, estima la variacion normalizada de la senal de energia (o C/I) (202) para cada paquete.
