Abstract
Un metodo para caracterizar un polipeptido, consta de proveer un primer canal capilar (104) con un amortiguador de separacion dispuesto dentro, en el que el amortiguador de separacion se compone de una solucion de polimero no degradado, un agente de amortiguacion, un detergente y un tinte Iipofilico. El amortiguador de separacion se proporciona de manera que, en el momento de deteccion, la concentracion de detergente en el amortiguador no esta arriba de la concentracion critica de micelas. El polipeptido se introduce en un extremo del canal capilar. Se aplica un campo electrico en la solucion de polimero a diferentes velocidades. El polipeptido se detecta conforme pasa un punto (176) a lo largo de la longitud del canal capilar.
