Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar aerogeles orgánicamente modificados, mediante el cual; a) se prepara un sol de ácido silícico a partir de una solucion acuosa de vidrio soluble, con ayuda de por lo menos un ácido orgánico y/o inorgánico, que tiene un valor de pH menor que o igual a 4.0; b) se policondensa a un gel de SiO2 el sol de ácido silícico obtenido, mediante la adicion de una base; c) se lava el gel obtenido en el paso b) con un solvente orgánico durante un tiempo necesario para que el contenido de agua del gel sea menor que o igual a 5% en peso; d) se silila superficialmente el gel obtenido en el paso c); y e) se seca el gel superficialmente sililado, obtenido en el paso d); caracterizándose dicho procedimiento porque el al menos un ácido forma con los cationes del vidrio soluble una sal difícilmente soluble en el sol deácido silícico; y antes del paso b), se precipita sustancialmente la sal difícilmente soluble formada, y se separa del sol de ácido silícico.
