Abstract

La invencion se relaciona con un proceso para tratar crudos íntegros que contiene ácido nafténico o una fraccion de los mismos para reducir o eliminar su acidez poniendo en contacto el crudo integro acídico o fracciones del mismo a una temperatura apropiada típicamente menor de 200 degree C, con una cantidad de neutralizacion típicamente de 0.25:1 hasta 10:1 del detergente con exceso de base. El proceso tiene los beneficios adicionales de reducir los problemas de manejo de los materiales asociados con la formacion de una emulsion en los crudos tratados.
