Abstract

Se proporcionan capas mutantes de Proteus vulgaris que, cuando se hacen crecer en ausencia de un inductor exogeno de condroitinasa I y II, producen proteínas condroitinasa I y condroitinasa II de P. vulgaris. Los mutantes típicamente producen proteínas condroitinasa I y II en ausencia de inductores exogenos en cantidades que exceden a las producidas por cepas de tipo silvestre de P. vulgaris, con tales inductores. Se describen dos clases de tales mutantes, clase I y II. Los mutantes clase I y clase II difieren en las cantidades relativas de condroitinasa I y II producidas cuando las células se hacen crecer en medio mínimo suplementario con casaaminoácidos. También se proporcionan variantes genotípicas adicionales que liberan proteínas condroitinasa I en el medio de cultivo. También se considera un método para producir proteínas condroitinasa I y II de P. vulgaris.
