Abstract
Se describen una composicion y un método para incrementar la penetracion transdérmica de un fármaco básico. La composicion comprende un parche de matriz que consiste de una cantidad efectiva de un fármaco básico, que tiene de preferencia un pKa de aproximadamente 8.0 o más, una cantidad efectiva de un incrementador de penetracion que consiste esencialmente de triacetina, y una capa de polímero que comprende de preferencia un adhesivo sensible a la presion. Un fármaco básico preferido es oxibutinina y sales de adicion de ácido de la misma. El método para incrementar la penetracion transdérmica comprende la aplicacion del parche de matriz sobre un área seleccionada de la piel.
