Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para la separacion del llamado éster crudo, que se obtiene básicamente mediante la oxidacion catalizada de para-xileno (p-X) y metiléster de ácido para-toluílico (p-TE), y la esterificacion subsiguiente de los productos de reaccion procedentes de la oxidacion con metanol en la elaboracion de dimetiltereftalato (DMT), en una fraccion rica en p-TE, una fraccion de DMT crudo y una fraccion de residuo de ebullicion difícil, llevándose a cabo la separacion del éster crudo en una unidad separadora que contiene una columna separadora, o bien una columna destiladora con una columna preliminar,o bien una columna destiladora con una columna posterior. Asimismo, se refiere la invencion a un procedimiento para la elaboracion de dimetiltereftalato (DMT), llevándose a cabo la separacion del éster crudo en una unidad separadora que está equipada con una columna de pared separadora o una columna destiladora con una columna preliminar, o bien una columna destiladora con una columna posterior.
