Abstract
La presente invencion proporciona los mejoramientos en un dispositivo y en un proceso para la reduccion de las cantidades del monoxido de carbono y cualquieroxido de nitrogeno en una bolsa de aire inflada por un inflador pirotécnico por la exposicion de los gases de combustion liberados por la explosion del inflador, en donde el monoxido de carbono se ha oxidado en un grado amplio a dioxido de carbono con un primer agente oxidante, a un sistema de activacion catalítico de una sal de paladio (II) soportado en contacto con un segundo agente oxidante estable en forma térmica, preferentemente un heteropolianion orgánico capaz de donar oxígeno. En el dispositivo, el oxidante y el catalizador se protegen por una hoja impermeable delgada del contacto con la atmosfera circundante para prevenir la desactivacion progresiva previa al uso.
