Abstract
La invencion se refiere a una batería de plomo y ácido que tiene todas las superficies de todos los electrodos bajo presion elevada y sus circunferencias se mantienen sin cambio mediante el soporte proveniente de paredes de la celda mecánicamente rígidas, de modo que solamente se permite que el espesor de los electrodos se expanda bajo una fuerte carga resiliente, durante la descarga, y regrese a su estado original durante la carga. La presion es de 0.49.10 a la 5 - 9.81.10 a la 5 Pa (0.5 -10 kp/cm²) y puede obtenerse por separadores o mediante muelles aplicados a los lados externos del recipiente de la celda y pueden cambiarse para una capacidad aumentada o disminuida. La construccion del diseño de batería tubular evita pérdidas de material debido a la formacion de lodo y se obtiene una larga vida de trabajo, ya que también un conductor de plomo completamente corroído bajo alta presion puede funcionar como un conductor de corriente. Los recipientes externos rígidos permiten una alta presion de líquido y de este modo una elevada solubilidad del oxígeno y recombinacion del oxígeno para las celdas selladas.
