Abstract
Se describe un tanque subterráneo de doble pared, compuesto, que comprende una estructura de armazon para tanque, de mandril metálico, girable, interna, montada por encima con dos recipientes de presion no metálicos, cilíndricos, corrugados, concéntricos, individuales, que tienen extremos hemisféricos. El tanque subterráneo de doble pared, compuesto, es un mejoramiento sustancial sobre los tanques convencionales de acero y de fibra de vidrio, y proporciona un método más confiable de proteger el ambiente al prevenir la liberacion de líquidos peligrosos contaminantes almacenados en el tanque. Cada uno de los dos recipientes a presion está elaborado de un laminado compuesto de capas multiples, que tiene un arreglo unico de tela que contiene reforzamientos filamentosos impregnados con una matriz polimérica termoendurecible.
