Abstract
Un interferómetro que se utiliza con un espejo conjugado de fase condesviación de frecuencia (PCM), para producir una rotación depolimerización de 90°, emplea sólo dos elementos ajustables: un prisma deuna forma especial, y un deflector de haz de luz quede preferencia es unprisma de porro. El prisma primario es de una forma y está orientado demanera que un haz de luz de entrada linealmente polarizado se divide ensub-haces ordinarios (o) y extraordinarios (e). Uno de los sub-haces serefracta hacia afuera del prisma a lo largo de una ruta de longitudcontrolada, y entonces se regresa al prisma por medio del deflector. Elsegundo sub-haz se retiene dentro del prisma mediante una reflexióninterna total, y se dirige hacia una ruta de salida que coincide con laruta del primer sub-haz después de su reentrada al prisma. El haz de luzde salida recombinado se dirige hacia el PCM, de donde se refleja de nuevoal prisma para su paso de reversión. La diferencia en las longitudes delas rutas entre los sub-haces o y e se seleccionan para producir unarotación de polarización de 90° neta después de que ambos pasan.
