Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para estabilizar un fosfito ó fosfonito orgánico, ó una mezcla de fosfitos ó fosfonitos orgánicos contra la hidrólisis, el cual incluye agregar, como el estabilizante, un compuesto de la clase de aminas estéricamente obstaculizadas, de tal manera que el fosfito o fosfonito estabilizado contenga de 0.1 al 25 por ciento en peso del compuesto de amina (en relación con el fosfito ó el fosfonito). Las composiciones que incluyen fosfito ó fosfonito orgánico y aminas estéricamente obstaculizadas, son notables por su excelente estabilidad hidrolítica y tienen una larga vida de estante, inclusive en un alta humedad atmosférica. Los productos del procedimiento de conformidad con la presente invención son muy útiles como estabilizantes para materiales orgánicos, en particular polímeros orgánicos, por ejemplo, polímeros sintéticos , contra la influencia dañina del calor, del oxígeno y/o de la luz.
