Abstract
Para la separación de una capa superior flotante contaminada de aceite ó substancias de aceite, se crea un flujo laminar continuo sobre ó cerca de la superficie, con el objeto de lograr una alta eficiencia. La característica especial de esto, es que se logra una separación óptima del líquido de aceite contaminado, mediante la creación de una caída en el nivel del líquido que se va a limpiar, a medida que pasa desde el área de flujo hacia adentro, hasta la área de descarga, después de que se ha presentado la separación. La creación de esto es controlada por un número de parámetros, tales como el flujo, el espesor de la capa, etcétera, y adicionalmente, mediante la colocación de un número de pantallas (8, 8') en la trayectoria del líquido que fluye (V) a medida que se mueve a través de un tanque (i). La cantidad total del líquido que fluye a través del tanque (i) se ajusta ahora de tal manera que el control correcto del flujo laminar superior (5) y el flujo inferior más turbulento dominante cerca del fondo (9) del tanque (i), produce una diferencia constante controlable en la altura (&h). Esta diferencia total en la altura (&h) también se puede obtener mediante una operación en cascada.
