Abstract

Un método para procesar imágenes para impresión, que incluye las etapas de por cada separación, hacer una determinación del nivel de pixel para elaborar el material de cubierta, con base al número de pixels dentro de una área dada que se enciende o activa; si se hace una determinación de que demasiado material de marca se coloca dentro del área dada, se hace la interrupción o desactivación de una fracción de pixel en el área para reducir la cantidad de material de marca que se utilizará para el área dada; y para evitar artefactos en la etapa de reducción de pixel al utilizar un orden de procesamiento por medio del cual cada área dada tiende a aleatorizar el efecto de desactivación. Adicionalmente, los resultados de la determinación se comparan para cada separación, para determinar que la desactivación resultante, permita que por lo menos un pixel correspondiente entre cada una de las separaciones sea encendido o activado.
