Abstract

La invención caracteriza a una molécula de ARN de respuesta, la cual codifica en una o más regiones de codificación de la proteína, un polipéptido y la cual incluye un dominio regulador, una región de sustrato y una secuencia de reconocimiento de ribosoma. Esta molécula de ARN de respuesta tiene una región inhibidora en el dominio regulador, el cual dominio regulador es complementario a una región sustrato de la molécula de ARN de respuesta y a una región anti-inhibidora de un ácido nucleico de señal de tal manera que, en ausencia del ácido nucleico de señal, las regiones inhibidoras y de sustrato forman un dominio de bases apareadas, la formación del cual reduce el nivel de traducción de una de las regiones que codifican para la proteína en la molécula de ARN de respuesta, comparada con el nivel de traducción de una región que codifica para la proteína observada en presencia del ácido nucleico de señal. La región anti-inhibidora del ácido nucleico de señal es complementaria en la secuencia con la región inhibidora de la molécula de ARN de respuesta, de tal manera que cuando la región anti-inhibidora está apareada en las bases con la región inhibidora, la traducción de una región de codificación de la proteína del ARN de respuesta está aumentada comparada con el nivel de traducción de esa región que codifica para la proteína, observada en ausencia del ácido nucleico de señal. El ácido nucleico de señal comprende parte del ácido nucleico de un organismo que infecta a la célula vegetal.
