Abstract

Se describe una secuencia que codifica para una enzima que tiene actividad de endo-(1-4)-beta-D-glucanasa específica para el xiloglucano y sus equivalentes funcionales. También se describen vectores que comprenden tales secuencias y plantas transgénicas en las cuales se han introducido las secuencias, un método para alterar las características de una planta, y un método para producir una enzima que tiene la actividad definida en lo anterior, por medio de la tecnología de ADN recombinante.
