Abstract
Se proporciona un método y transceptor móvil para valorar el rastreo; en un aspecto, se proporciona un método para operar un transceptor móvil comprendiendo un procesador, una memoria, un receptor satelital, y al menos un transceptor inalámbrico; el método comprende: determinar si el transceptor móvil está en un modo de batería energizada; activar el transceptor inalámbrico desde un modo de baja potencia; buscar, a través del transceptor inalámbrico, servicios inalámbricos soportados por el transceptor inalámbrico; cuando está disponible más de un servicio inalámbrico y el transceptor móvil está en un modo de batería energizada, seleccionar un servicio inalámbrico más eficiente en potencia de acuerdo con un perfil de potencia básico de los servicios inalámbricos disponibles; cuando solamente está disponible un servicio inalámbrico, seleccionar el servicio inalámbrico disponible; y enviar al menos una porción del registro de datos a un servicio de rastreo de activos utilizando el servicio inalámbrico seleccionado.
