Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con la aplicación de polímeros y copolímeros sólidos preparados a partir de monómeros que tienen en su estructura un anillo aromático policíclico, un anillo aromático de tipo naftaleno o unidades de naftaleno en su estructura, o del tipo de los poliésteres, poliéteres, poliamidas o polivinil derivados, para el hidrotratamiento o hidrodesintegración de hidrocarburos pesados, tales como crudos pesados o extrapesados y residuos de la destilación del petróleo; estos pueden estar anclados o en mezcla física con óxidos metálicos tales como alúmina, sílice, titania o caolín. Su aplicación se extiende como donadores de hidrógeno heterogéneos en reacciones de hidrotratamiento o hidrodesintegración de crudos pesados y extrapesados, residuos de la destilación del petróleo y de cortes y corrientes derivadas del mismo, actúan en presencia de hidrógeno y/o de gas rico en metano. Estos polímeros donadores de hidrógeno por ser sólidos pueden ser recuperados del medio de reacción para posteriormente ser reutilizados, y tienen una estabilidad térmica que permite llevar a cabo reacciones a temperaturas superiores a los 450°C. Estos donadores de hidrógeno heterogéneos mejoran propiedades físicas de los crudos tales como gravedad °API, viscosidad, incremento en el rendimiento de destilados y evitan la formación de coque.
