Abstract
La invención se refiere a un procedimiento y a una instalación de laminación en caliente de bandas de acero (S), presentando la instalación un tren de laminación en caliente (2) que comprende una pluralidad de cajas de laminación (F1 - F7) que están dispuestas en serie en la dirección de avance (F) de la banda de acero (S) que se va a laminar en caliente, y un tramo de enfriamiento (5) para enfriar de forma intensiva la banda de acero (S) laminada en caliente que sale de la última caja de laminación (F7) del tren de laminación (2). Con la invención es posible, sobre la base de una instalación de laminación en caliente convencional de este tipo, producir de un modo operacionalmente seguro bandas calientes con un espesor final superior a 15 mm que también satisfacen las exigencias más elevadas con respecto a la tenacidad. Esto se logra según la invención desplazando el comienzo del tramo de enfriamiento (5), visto en la dirección de avance (F) de la banda de acero (S) que se va a laminar en caliente, hasta antes del final del tren de laminación (2) y comenzando el tramo de enfriamiento (5) después de la última caja de laminación (F5) que está dispuesta antes de la entrada al tramo de enfriamiento (5), produciéndose una laminación en caliente de la correspondiente banda de acero que se va a laminar en caliente.
