Abstract
Un motor de corriente directa sin escobillas, tiene un primer sub-motor y un segundo sub-motor. Los sub-motores primero y segundo tienen terminales de entrada independientes y un rotor común, incluyendo un eje de salida común. En un modo de operación normal los dos sub-motores operan juntos, un motor para sacar una energía de operación normal del motor. En un modo de operación de emergencia, cuan un sub-motor ha fallado y genera un esfuerzo de torsión de frenado, el sub-motor normal es operado para generar un esfuerzo de torsión para compensar por el esfuerzo de torsión de frenado producido por el sub-motor que falla.
