Abstract
Se describen técnicas para generar características térmicas terrestres del subsuelo sobre un área que incluyen recolectar los datos meteorológicos y los datos terrestres en tiempo real para una pluralidad de ubicaciones asociadas con un cable eléctrico subterráneo y calcular las propiedades térmicas terrestres en la pluralidad de ubicaciones en base a los datos meteorológicos y a los datos terrestres medidos en tiempo real mediante un proceso iterativo. Las propiedades térmicas terrestres calculadas en dos o más de la pluralidad de ubicaciones se interpolan para determinar las propiedades térmicas terrestres interpoladas en otra ubicación asociada con el cable eléctrico subterráneo y se crea un mapa de propiedades térmicas de cobertura amplia a partir de al menos algunas de las propiedades térmicas terrestres calculadas y las propiedades térmicas terrestres interpoladas.
