Abstract
Un dispositivo de detección de señales de tráfico incluye una cámara 11 de ángulo estrecho, una cámara 12 de ángulo ancho que tiene un ángulo de visión más ancho que la cámara 11 de ángulo estrecho, y un detector 4 de señales de tráfico configurado para detectar una señal de tráfico a partir de al menos cualquiera de una imagen de ángulo estrecho capturada por la cámara 11 de ángulo estrecho y una imagen de ángulo ancho capturada por la cámara 12 de ángulo ancho. El detector 4 de señales de tráfico selecciona, como un resultado de la detección, cualquiera de una señal de tráfico detectada a partir de la imagen de ángulo estrecho y una señal de tráfico detectada a partir de la imagen de ángulo ancho, con base en una región de inicio de desaceleración en la cual un vehículo 5 debe iniciar la desaceleración, la región de inicio de desaceleración calculada a partir de una posición de una señal de tráfico con respecto al vehículo 5 y una velocidad del vehículo 5 a fin de detener el vehículo 5 en una posición de detención con respecto a la señal de tráfico.
