Abstract

Un proceso para remover mercurio a partir del gas de proceso que comprende las siguientes etapas: (i) hacer reaccionar al vapor de mercurio presente en el gas de proceso con cloruro de mercurio disuelto en una solución de depuración para formar una suspensión que contiene cloruro mercurioso, (ii) decantar el cloruro mercurioso fuera de la suspensión, en donde el cloro se inyecta en la suspensión antes de que la etapa de decantación forme una solución de reacción.
