Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para incrementar la cantidad de ácidos grasos inusuales en material de la planta, el método comprende: transformar el material de la planta que comprende una desaturada Ln?9D o An?9 con una molécula de ácido nucleico que comprende un elemento regulador del gen y un polinucleótido al menos 60% idéntico a la SEQ ID NO: 1, el polinucleótido que codifica una enzima desaturasa ?9, tal que la cantidad de ácidos de ácidos grasos inusuales en dicho material de la planta se incrementa.
