Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un microorganismo recombinante caracterizado porque comprende una secuencia de ácido nucleico exógena que codifica para una palmitoilputrescina sintasa (PPS) que tiene al menos 90% de identidad de secuencia con la secuencia de aminoácidos de la SEQ ID NO: 1, en donde la PPS cataliza la conversión de una amina primaria y un tioéster de acilo a una amida grasa en donde el microorganismo además expresa una tioesterasa exógena (EC3.12.14 o EC 3.1.1.5) y se cultiva en presencia de una fuente de carbono.
