Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un método para formar sevoflurano comprendiendo (i) combinar clorosevo éter, un reactivo de fluoruro nucleofílico, y un solvente comprendiendo sevoflurano para formar una mezcla de reacción inicial, y (ii) hacer reaccionar la mezcla de reacción inicial para formar sevoflurano adicional relativo a la cantidad de sevoflurano presente en la mezcla de reacción inicial. La presente descripción también es dirigida a un método para formar sevoflurano, que comprende: iniciar una reacción entre clorosevo éter y un reactivo de fluoruro nucleofílico en una mezcla de reacción inicial que comprende además un solvente comprendiendo sevoflurano, formando por ello sevoflurano adicional en relación a la cantidad de sevoflurano presente en la mezcla de reacción inicial.
