Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una planta transgénica, caracterizada porque comprende ADN que codifica una proteína insecticida Cry1Be y ADN que codifica una proteína insecticida Cry1Fa, en donde dicha proteína insecticida Cry1Fa es por lo menos 95% idéntica con la SEQ ID NO: 1, y dicha proteína insecticida Cry1Be es por lo menos 95% idéntica con la SEQ ID NO: 2, en donde dicha planta transgénica expresa una cantidad efectiva de dicha proteína insecticida Cry1Fa y dicha proteína insecticida Cry1Be para prevenir el desarrollo de plagas de lepidópteros resistentes a Cry, y en donde dicha proteína insecticida Cry1Fa y dicha proteína insecticida Cry1Be no comparten in sitio de unión a receptor en el intestino del barrenador Europeo del maíz (ECB) y no comparten un sitio de unión a receptor en el intestino del gusano cogollero (FAW).
