Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para la lixiviación de concentrado a granel de tipo calcopirita por medio de una solución acuosa que contiene ácido sulfúrico y una alimentación de oxígeno a presión atmosférica y a una temperatura de entre 750 °C y el punto de ebullición de la solución. Es típico del método que el tamaño de partícula del concentrado que va a ser alimentado dentro de la lixiviación esté en la región de 80% por debajo de 60 - 100 µm y que el concentrado sea lixiviado con una solución acuosa, cuya concentración de ácido se regula para que esté alrededor de 20 - 90 g/l.
