Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un método para mejorar un proceso de flotación. El método involucra un compuesto de organofósforo, un material previamente pensado que solo es de uso para controlar depósitos de incrustaciones en superficies de equipo utilizado en lixiviación de cianuro. En la invención, el compuesto de organofósforo es adicionado al proceso de separación por flotación para la separación mejorada del mineral de sulfuro. No solamente la adición del compuesto de organofósforo mejora la recuperación global de metales complejos de sulfuro en flotación, sino que hace que se reduzcan también los requerimientos de energía y adiciona otras eficiencias a otros procesamientos de mena y pasos de refinación corriente abajo. Esto tiene beneficios adicionales para ayudar a preservar el medio ambiente.
