Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona a un polímero expansible particulado, por ejemplo poliestireno (EPS) o ácido poliláctico (PLA) o una combinación de los mismos, que se puede procesar para formar una espuma que tiene una estructura de celda fina y una baja densidad, y que contiene un material que incrementa el valor de aislamiento térmico para incrementar el valor de aislamiento térmico del mismo. La presente invención además se relaciona a un método para producir tal polímero expansible particulado, así como a un material de espuma basado en tal polímero.
