Abstract

Se describe un método para la preparación de partículas de compuestos de metal de transición insolubles que comprende: proveer una sal de metal de transición que tiene la fórmula (TM) (S), en donde el componente de metal de transición TM es uno o más de Mn, Ni, Co, Mg, Zn, Ca, Sr, Cu, Zr, P, Fe, Al, Ga, In, Cr, Ge o Sn; proveer una fuente de compuesto aniónico a base de carbonato-, hidróxido-, fosfato-, oxihidróxido u óxido, en donde el componente aniónico, representado por S´ es reactivo con el componente de metal de transición para formar las partículas; agregar la sal de metal de transición y el compuesto aniónico a una cámara de reacción y someter la cámara a sonificación para formar partículas. En una modalidad ejemplar, la solución de sal de metal de transición comprende MnSO4, la fuente del compuesto aniónico comprende Na2CO3 y/o NH4HCO3, la proporción de MnSO4 a Na2CO3 y/o NH4HCO3 es de alrededor de1:1.5 a 1.5:1. Las partículas formadas que comprenden MnCO3 pueden tener una distribución de tamaño estrecha y una densidad de derivación de alrededor de 1.7 g/ml a alrededor de 2.3 g/ml.
