Abstract
Un recinto pasivo de fibra óptica, el recinto comprende, a) una o más unidades funcionales de fibra óptica de una red de telecomunicaciones, que pueden conectarse ópticamente, mediante una fibra óptica, con una unidad central de red, para recibir señales de telecomunicaciones para uno o más suscriptores mediante la fibra óptica desde la unidad central de red, caracterizado porque el recinto comprende, además, en el interior del recinto, b) un medio transceptor, que es operable para generar las primeras señales ópticas mediante el uso de energía eléctrica, que es operable para recibir señales ópticas de respuesta desde la unidad central de red, que puede conectarse ópticamente a la fibra óptica de manera que las primeras señales ópticas pueden transmitirse mediante la fibra óptica a la unidad central de red, y de manera que las señales ópticas de respuesta pueden transmitirse mediante la fibra óptica desde la unidad central de red al medio transceptor.
