Abstract
El método de fabricación revelado de un tramo de tubo puede producir un tramo de tubo resistente a la fatiga que posee una resistencia a la fatiga relativamente alta y una longitud de soldadura tira con tira relativamente mínima. La resistencia a la fatiga se calcula por experimentación con parámetros y/o simulaciones controladas que reproducen las propiedades de los materiales y condiciones de carga. Una alta resistencia a la fatiga hace referencia a ciertas características del producto (por ejemplo, baja plastificación, bajos niveles de esfuerzos hidrostáticos, y soldaduras libre de imperfecciones) que pueden conservarse con un diseño de soldadura oblicua adecuada a valores bajos luego de un número de ensayos específicos de carga cíclica. La longitud de la soldadura tira con tira relativamente mínima es un beneficio que reduce las chances de provocar grietas que se inicien y/o propaguen por la misma, donde las imperfecciones y diferencias localizadas de las propiedades mecánicas comúnmente provocan fallas. La longitud mínima de la soldadura tira con tira además puede reducir los costos de soldadura.
