Abstract
Se describe una aplicación novedosa del proceso de depósito de capas atómicas (ALD) para producir un recubrimiento conforme sobre una cuchilla de afeitar, en donde se deposita un recubrimiento uniforme, conforme y denso sobre toda la superficie de un flanco de cuchilla y por lo menos una porción o toda la superficie de un cuerpo de cuchilla. Para mejorar la capacidad de afeitar del borde de cuchilla recubierto (p. ej., disminuir el radio de la punta de la cuchilla), el recubrimiento producido por ALD puede grabarse durante, después, o tanto durante como después del proceso de ALD.
