Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para moldear un ensamble acoplador de ferrocarril, el método comprende: fabricar un cuerpo y una rótula hechos de acero en un proceso de fabricación sin horneado incluyendo el uso de un sistema de arena aglomerada químicamente que resulta en un molde de arena a partir del cual la rótula y el cuerpo son moldeados, el cuerpo acoplador y la rótula que resultan tienen tolerancias dimensionales de distancias entre las características que se desgastan durante la operación que son aproximadamente más o menos 0.127 y 0.203 cm, lo que resulta en una mayor vida de fatiga en comparación con el cuerpo y la rótula fabricados por un proceso de arena verde.
