Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a suspensiones de nanocristal bimetálico con base en oro-platino novedosas que tienen superficies de nanocristal que sustancialmente están libres de impurezas orgánicas u otras o películas asociadas con reductores/estabilizadores químicos típicos y/o materias primas utilizadas en los procesos de formación de nanopartículas; específicamente, las superficies son "limpias" en relación a las superficies de nanopartículas basadas en metal hechas mediante los procesos reducción química (y otros) que requieren reductores orgánicos (u otros) y/o agentes tensoactivos para crecer (y/o suspender) nanopartículas de metal de iones metálicos en una solución; la invención incluye aparatos y técnicas de fabricación electroquímica novedosos para la fabricación de las suspensiones de nanocristal bimetálico; las técnicas no requieren el uso o la presencia de iones/átomos de cloro y/o cloruros o materiales a base de cloro para el proceso de fabricación/suspensión final; la invención además incluye composiciones farmacéuticas de las mismas y el uso de los nanocristales bimetálicos o suspensiones o coloides de los mismos para el tratamiento o la prevención de enfermedades o condiciones para las cuales la terapia basada en metal ya es conocida, incluyendo, por ejemplo, para las enfermedades o condiciones cancerosas. 31 B.
