Abstract
El material carbonáceo que se activa para formar carbón activado precursor se mejora aún más mediante el dopaje con hierro y nitrógeno y la calcinación. El material sorbente resultante tiene excelentes propiedades catalíticas que son útiles en el campo de la purificación de fluidos. La mejora adicional se puede realizar en un proceso de una sola etapa o en un proceso de dos etapas. El material carbonáceo incluye los obtenidos a partir de carbón, madera o cáscaras de coco.
