Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una planta de Solanum lycopersicum híbrida que comprende en su genoma al menos una copia del gen de resistencia Rug-1, en donde dicho gen de resistencia Rug-1 puede conferir un fenotipo de resistencia/tolerancia al virus rugoso del tomate (ToBRFV). La presente invención se refiere además a una semilla producida por la planta de acuerdo con la presente invención, una semilla a partir de la cual se puede cultivar una planta de acuerdo con la presente invención, una fruta producida por una planta de acuerdo con la presente invención y una parte de una planta de acuerdo con la presente invención. La presente invención se refiere además a un método para identificar y/o seleccionar una planta o parte de planta de acuerdo con la presente invención. La presente invención se refiere además a un método para producir una planta de Solanum lycopersicum que tiene un fenotipo de tolerancia/resistencia a ToBRFV de acuerdo con la presente invención. La presente invención se refiere además a un método para mejorar el fenotipo de tolerancia/resistencia a ToBRFV de una planta de Solanum lycopersicum, el uso del gen de resistencia Rug-1 de acuerdo con la presente invención para mejorar el fenotipo de tolerancia/resistencia a ToBRFV en una planta de Solanum lycopersicum y el uso de un marcador genético específico del gen de resistencia Rug-1 de acuerdo con la presente invención para seleccionar una planta de Solanum lycopersicum que tiene un fenotipo de tolerancia/resistencia a ToBRFV mejorado.
