La presente invención se refiere además a un método para producir una planta de Capsicum annuum que tiene la resistencia mejorada a Frankliniella occidentalis de acuerdo con la presente invención. La presente invención se refiere además a un método para mejorar la resistencia de una planta de Capsicum annuum a Frankliniella occidentalis y al uso de QTL8 de acuerdo con la presente invención para mejorar la resistencia de una planta de Capsicum annuum a Frankliniella occidentalis.
