Abstract

La invención se relaciona con una instalación 1 para fundir una composición de materias primas, adecuada para obtener lana de vidrio, hilos textiles de vidrio y/o vidrio plano, que comprende una cámara 2 de fundición equipada con al menos un quemador 3 sumergido, caracterizado porque la cámara 2 de fundición, de preferencia de forma cilíndrica se define por paredes 4 laterales de material refractario de acuerdo con las normas ISO/R836 o AFNOR NF B 40-001 y por un fondo 5 metálico descubierto al que se fija dicho quemador 3 y que se atraviesa por una red de tuberías adaptadas para la circulación de un fluido refrigerante, de preferencia agua.
