Abstract

Las modalidades descritas en el presente documento están dirigidas a composiciones, sistemas y procesos para reforzar artículos de vidrio, que también minimizan la concentración de productos de descomposición en los baños de sales fundidas que se utilizan en los procesos de intercambio iónico para extender la vida del baño de sales y mantener la durabilidad química de los artículos de vidrio reforzados con el tiempo. Las composiciones de baño de sales en general pueden incluir de 90% en peso a 99.9% en peso de una o más sales alcalinas o metálicas y de 0.1% en peso a 10% en peso de agregados de ácido silícico con base en el peso total de la composición de baño de sales.
