Abstract
La presente invención describe un proceso mejorado para la producción a escala comercial de materiales de catalizador de alta calidad. Este proceso mejorado permite la producción de catalizadores que tienen variaciones de las propiedades y el desempeño de partida a partida muy consistentes. Además, estos procesos mejorados permiten pérdidas de la producción mínimas (reduciendo dramáticamente la producción de finos o materiales pequeños como parte del proceso de producción). El proceso mejorado involucra múltiples pasos y utiliza hornos de calcinación que permiten controlar de manera precisa los incrementos de la temperatura, en donde el catalizador se calienta de manera homogénea. El gas de calcinación se libera en cámaras de calentamiento separadas, que contienen el ventilador de recirculación y la fuente de calor. Los catalizadores que pueden producirse utilizando este proceso mejorado incluyen, de manera no exclusiva, catalizadores que fomentan la hidrogenación del CO, catalizadores de reformación, Catalizadores de Fischer Tropsch, catalizadores de Greyrock GreyCatTM, catalizadores que homologan el metanol, catalizadores que fomentan la hidrogenación de compuestos de carbono y otros catalizadores utilizados en la industria.
