Abstract
Se describe un método para supervisar un proceso de mecanizado en el cual los flancos de diente de las piezas de trabajo predentadas (23) se mecanizan con una máquina de acabado (1). Como parte del método, se registra una pluralidad de valores de medición mientras una herramienta de acabado (16) se encuentra en acoplamiento de mecanizado con una pieza de trabajo. Entre ellos se encuentran los valores de un indicador de potencia el cual indica un consumo de potencia real del husillo de la herramienta durante el mecanizado de los flancos de diente de la pieza de trabajo. Una operación de normalización se aplica al menos a algunos de los valores de medición o a valores de una cantidad derivada de los valores de medición con objeto de obtener valores normalizados. La operación de normalización depende de al menos uno de los siguientes parámetros: parámetros geométricos de la herramienta de acabado, en particular su diámetro exterior, parámetros geométricos de la pieza de trabajo y parámetros de configuración de la máquina de acabado, en particular, la alimentación radial y la alimentación axial.
