Abstract
Se describen materiales absorbentes que se tratan con iones, sales, óxidos, hidróxidos o carbonatos de calcio, magnesio, estroncio o bario que son útiles para eliminar sustancias perfluoroalquilo y polifluoroalquilo (PFAS), ácido perfluorooctanoico (PFOA), ácido perfluorooctanosulfónico (PFOS), 2,3,3,3,-tetrafluoro-2-(heptafluoropropoxi)propanoato y 1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroetil heptafluoropropil éter y compuestos similares, de líquidos y gases. Los materiales absorbentes con los tratamientos descritos ofrecen un rendimiento mejorado en comparación con los materiales absorbentes no tratados.
