Abstract
Un sistema de monitoreo remoto para monitorear los parámetros de un activo subterráneo, tal como un sistema alámbrico eléctrico, una tubería que sirve como conducto para agua, gas, petróleo, aguas residuales o lo similar. Los detectores de parámetros, tal como los sensores que miden temperatura, voltaje, corriente, humedad, etc., se distribuyen a lo largo del activo para proporcionar señales eléctricas que representan los respectivos parámetros monitoreados del activo. Un concentrador subterráneo dispuesto en una cámara subterránea, o pozo de registro, a través del cual pasa el activo, se acopla a los detectores de parámetros para adquirir las señales proporcionadas por los detectores de parámetros. El concentrador incluye un controlador para proporcionar datos derivados de las señales adquiridas, transmitiéndose los datos a una ubicación central remota por un transceptor o módem, a través de la comunicación LP-WAN. Las señales del transceptor se transmiten directamente desde el subsuelo.
